Enderun Colleges congratulates Xavier School for winning the grand prize for Next Bright Idea Elevator Pitch Competition last January 19 at The Tent of Enderun Colleges. Second and third place went to Miriam College High School and British School Manila respectively.

Seven schools got through the finals namely: Xavier School, British School Manila, PAREF Woodrose, San Beda Alabang, Chinese International School Manila, Miriam College High School and Grace Christian High School. Their pitch was judged by Leah del Castillo, editor-in-chief of Entrepreneur Philippines; Larry Gamboa, author of Think, Rich Pinoy!; Henry Ong, President of Business Sense Financial Advisors and Alexandra Rocha, owner of Pinkerton ice cream and an alumnus of Enderun Colleges.

Out of 15 pitches, Xavier School's "K9," an application that allows users to track their items using the "scent" attached on it took home the grand prize of Php 50,000 and an exclusive teambuilding activity for its faculty and employees courtesy of Enderun Extension, the continuing education institution of Enderun Colleges, for their project. Miriam College High School won second place for their "X-Pen," a multi-functional pen that has a built-in post-it dispenser and USB compartment. Third place went to British School Manila for their "Spark Step," shoes with built-in kinetic renewable energy that can be used to charge mobile devices.

"I felt that I was not talking to high school students. They are business- minded people who know what they are talking about and getting inspired using day-to-day materials and situations," author and judge Larry Gamboa said.
